I am Himali, the founder of ThreetoEleven, and I am a passionate primary school educator who firmly believes that every child’s learning journey is a unique and wonderful adventure.
My journey in education began in 2013 when I qualified as a teacher in the United Kingdom. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in four different schools, spanning both London and Hong Kong. My teaching experience encompasses the UK National Curriculum as well as the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).
During my time in the classroom, I developed a deep fascination with literacy difficulties and the essential skills and strategies that underpin reading development. This passion drove me to pursue a Master’s degree in Literacy Learning and Literacy Difficulties in 2017.
In the 2020/21 academic year, I had the opportunity to work in an international school in London. While I enjoyed the experience, it was a different environment due to the effects of COVID-19, with bubbles and restrictions affecting the school routine. It became evident to me that many students had significant learning gaps that couldn’t be addressed within the confines of a traditional curriculum. I knew then that I wanted to make a difference.
This realisation led me to establish ThreetoEleven, where my mission is crystal clear: to provide targeted support for students grappling with literacy difficulties and navigating the ever-evolving landscape of education. My goal is to empower these young learners, helping them bridge the gaps and ensuring that their learning journeys remain as unique and promising as they are destined to be.

Interview Preparation and Public Speaking: Moreover, Rishi is well-versed in interview preparation. He has championed public speaking initiatives, such as The English-Speaking Board and Debating Competitions, providing students with specific strategies to enhance their public speaking skills. Additionally, he has effectively prepared tutees for the interview stages at 11-plus, instilling confidence and strategic prowess.

Aarti
Literacy and Technology Specialist
Bringing in over 15 years of teaching experience is our Literacy and Technology expert, Aarti. Aarti has taught internationally in Rome, Dubai and China, and was most recently the Head of Digital Learning at Thomas’s Battersea. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Thomas’s, Aarti’s role required exploring how technology can be used to meaningfully enhance teaching and learning practices.
As a trained Reading and Writing Workshop instructor from Columbia University’s Teacher College, Aarti has extensive experience in literacy instruction. What she loves about the workshop model is the way it inherently caters to each child’s unique learning style. Aarti believes that creative writing is a beautiful union between explicit skills that can be taught and each writer’s individual style.
Aarti also has a strong background in inquiry pedagogy. She is fully trained by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and has worked with educators around the world to build units of inquiry. Aarti has experience in curriculum development as well as parent and teacher training in inquiry-based teaching and learning.
Aarti is also a certified Apple Professional Learning Specialist and Apple Distinguished Educator. She is certified in teaching coding to pupils up to 11 years and enjoys exploring how technology can be used to enhance various literacy skills.
Before Aarti’s daughter was born in December 2022, she was accepted into Curtis Brown’s selective and prestigious 6-month creative writing course in Marylebone. In her free time, she continues to work on her novel and picture book manuscripts.
